The Latest Update of Android 4.4 from Sony Allows You to Transfer Applications to the microSD

During yesterday the Japanese company Sony began distributing the update Android 4.4.2 KitKat for Sony Xperia T2 in a file that responded to the name of  19.1.A.0.473 . At first, the news of this update seemed to be summed up in small changes in the interface and any corrections in the operation of the terminal. But an accidental discovery by users, just jump to light another of the novelties of this update is the option to move applications to the microSD memory card .

This new option is located within the individual configuration of the applications installed on mobile. To move an application to the microSD card into a Sony Xperia T2 Ultra updated to Android 4.4.2 KitKat we simply access the application settings , enter the section " Application Manager "(or" Apps "), click on the application you want to move to external memory and finally, click on the button " Move to SD "link located next to the button" Clear Data ".

The option of moving an application to the external memory card is useful in the face of free space on the internal memory, as it allows to move all files from one application to the memory card, which in the case of Sony Xperia T2 Ultra can have a maximum capacity of 32 gigabytes . Given that the storage capacity of the T2 Ultra is 8 gigabytes (of which almost half are occupied by the operating system files), this new option was more than necessary to ensure a good user experience with the terminal.

All owners of a Sony Xperia T2 Ultra that have not yet received the update should be aware that the distribution of this file may take additional time to reach some countries, especially for users who purchased their mobile under some company phone. In either case it is recommended to follow this procedure to check at any time the availability of the update from the phone:

  1. First unblock the mobile screen and access to the application settings .
  2. Once inside, look for a section with the name " About Phone "(normally it is located between the last options) and click on it.
  3. Finally click on the option " System Update ", which will allow us to access the configuration window updates regarding our mobile operating system. We'll see the instructions on the screen (each option is displayed with a short description of its function) and our terminal will automatically search for available updates at that time.
